Ping and PK in Knight Online

In PK it matters how fast your skills reach the server. From home that depends on your internet, your provider and your distance to the server. With KO Client the client runs in a data centre in Istanbul, 1 - 5 ms from the game server.

Where ping comes from

In-game ping is the time between the client and the game server. Since the client runs on a cloud PC, that time does not depend on your home connection. Your skills reach the server faster than from home.

The picture on your screen

The picture streams to you from the cloud PC, so your connection affects how fast it arrives. On fibre in Istanbul we measured this delay under 10 ms. It may be higher in other cities and on mobile connections, which we have not measured yet.

If your connection gets weak, only the quality of the picture you receive drops. The client stays connected to the server.

Which client for PK

PK needs the Graphics Card client. It streams at up to 4K 120 fps and you choose the resolution and frame rate. For the smoothest stream and long PK sessions we recommend the desktop app, ready for Windows and Linux, with macOS in the works.

No cheats

Only the official game runs on the cloud PC. Koxp, bots, macro programs and TBL edits are not possible. The only edge comes from being close to the server.
